Broody Girl Loves Her Strawberries

With fresh from- the- garden lettuce, strawberries, and a few field dandelions, girly enjoys her breakfast. Our Penny has been setting two eggs for nearly 3 weeks now. We've not candled them because she is fiercly prtoective and makes quite a fuss if we don't just drop the food and back off. We've not gotten any Silkie babies in past broody times, but we've got our fingers crossed again. Merlin is a sweet boy, but so far, not a daddy. Do send hatchling thoughts to her.
Tuesday Update: Nothing yet. I tried to get under there, but she was nasty. lol I did see three eggs, and I thought there were only two. She's been broody many times, and we've never had any chicks. :( I'm not sure when she gathered and began sitting, so I'll give her some more time before I take them. Poor girl. She's terribly dedicated, so I am going to blame Merlin. Sorry, guys.
